Greenwich Peninsula Chess Club announces rapidplay tournament in Woolwich on 28th April 2024

Greenwich Peninsula Chess Club was founded by Nick Templar and Andrew Pavord in 2021. We play chess over the board (otb) because its more fun than playing online.

We fund these endeavours through our own pockets (though lately some funding has been supplied by sponsors). We ask that you participate by attending our events and playing your best! 😁

GP Chess Club is free of charge, (though there is a registration fee for tournaments), and open to chess players of all abilities.

We currently meet every Sunday afternoon (12-5) at The Old Brewery; an amazing venue in the grounds of The Royal Naval College in Greenwich. We ask that you buy food and drinks, as a way of saying thanks to The Old Brewery for their support.

In the summer months, we host Saturday sessions at the "Seafood Disco" Table, near the Jetty, off Olympic Way SE10 0GE.
